Steve Allred

Steve Allred is the Vice President of Development at DECA Dental Group. Steve focuses on growing the organization through the DeNovo model in his current role. He manages the construction project management process for all new builds, working closely with department heads, general contractors, and Chad, the Chief Development Officer. Steve also oversees the overflow call center and assists clinics with facility-related questions.

Steve’s professional experience includes front-line management of doctors and staff, ensuring clinics operate efficiently and provide exceptional care. His background is predominantly in the medical field, but he transitioned to dental when the opportunity with DECA felt right.

Steve graduated from Notre Dame with a Master’s in Public Policy and Health Administration from Northwestern University. These institutions provided the framework and knowledge to pursue a healthcare career.

Steve’s leadership philosophy centers on servant leadership. His ultimate goal is to equip front-line workers with the tools to succeed and remove any roadblocks within the corporate structure to ensure the best dental care possible.

Steve is particularly proud of leading complex construction projects, such as the Buckhead and Uptown builds, which required significant coordination. In 2023, he reduced the overall spend on new DeNovo builds by 10% by working with contractors to find cost-saving alternatives.

Looking ahead, Steve aspires to make the build process even more seamless and cost-efficient in every market DECA enters. He also aims to expand the call center’s role, recognizing its potential and need for more exposure.

Steve’s unique skills include firsthand knowledge of clinic operations and the ability to partner with doctors to ensure offices are outfitted correctly and efficiently. His core values are honesty, integrity, loyalty, and a touch of humor.

Outside of his professional life, Steve is passionate about college football, particularly watching the Notre Dame Irish. He is a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams, including his daughter’s basketball and softball teams and his son’s baseball team. Steve likes to stay active through workouts and loves to travel with his wife whenever possible.
